Network Development Session hosted by Mr. Teddy

As the name, “Ajar Budi Asah Nurani – Teach Manner and Sharpen Conscience” (Adinurani) is a compulsory activity that is held exclusively by the Ubaya FBE Postgraduate program in order to provide social values for new students, build a strong foundation in the unity of the hearts of the participants, and provide an overview to the students about the course that they would have in the future.

The activity for new students was held once again on January and February 2017 under the management of the 8th Leadership Club Generation. This time, the Adinurani theme is “Mindcraft” (taken from the word of minecraft) which is an illustration of a process of forming a mindset with a focus on creativity. Creativity is needed in student learning, especially in the learning process. The process really requires creativity, both in presentation and in doing student assignments.

The first session of Adinurani took place in January 20th, 2017. The first session covered the introduction of the campus and facilities, introduction of the program presented by Dr. Putu Anom Mahadwartha, S.E., M.M. as the Head of Master of Management (KPS) study program, Dr. Bonnie Soeherman, S.E., M.Ak. as the Head of Master of Accounting study program, and Ubaya Postgraduate Program Alumni Forum (FAPUS Ubaya). The first session introduced how to access international journal that will be needed in making assignment or thesis. This session also explained how to build a strong networking which was delivered by Mr. Teddy Rainier Sondakh as the Chairman of FAPUS Ubaya.

Participants doing an outbound activity

Furthermore, the second session of Adinurani took place on February 11th-12th 2017 at Ubaya Training Center, Trawas. The second session has some agenda such as the provision of KWI values (Knowledge, Wisdom, and Integrity), creative thinking, interpersonal skills, communication skill and time management, outbound activities, talent show, as well as sharing session between participants and organizers. Some participants said the event is considered very useful and interesting. Topics raised at the event was very relevant and meet what they need. The results of a survey of some of the participants showed that the outbound activity was the most memorable and exciting activity. The outbound event was divided into two parts that focused on teamwork value and creative thinking.

Participants looked very active and enthusiastic in doing the outbound activity. The same atmosphere happened during the talent show activity. A mix of action and comedy in the show made more festive Adinurani this time. “At first I felt burdened due to the busy agenda of the team members, but once it takes place, I enjoyed and recognized that creativity can be seen in the talent show activity,” said Frederik, Class 52 Master of Management student. At the end of the event, prizes to the most active participants were given to some participants and the team that performed well.
