On Saturday, 4 July 2026, the Alliance of Master of Management Programs in Indonesia (APMMI) successfully organized its National Seminar entitled “Bullion Bank and the Future of Finance: Transforming Gold into a Strategic Financial Instrument for Indonesia.” Held online from 09:00 to 10:45 WIB, the seminar brought together more than 800 participants, comprising Master of Management students and faculty members from APMMI member institutions across Indonesia include MM FBE UBAYA. The event was officially opened by Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., Chairman of APMMI, who emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between academia and industry in preparing future business leaders to respond to the rapidly evolving financial landscape. The seminar was moderated by Prof. Rofikoh Rokhim, Ph.D., who guided the discussion and facilitated an engaging exchange of ideas throughout the session.
The keynote presentation was delivered by Mr. Ferdian Timur Satyagraha, Chief Financial Officer of PT Pegadaian, who provided comprehensive insights into the development of Indonesia’s bullion ecosystem and the strategic role of the Bullion Bank in strengthening the national financial system. Participants gained a deeper understanding of how gold can evolve beyond being merely a store of value into a productive financial asset through services such as gold savings, gold deposits, bullion financing, and gold trading. The discussion also highlighted Indonesia’s immense potential as one of the world’s leading gold-producing countries and the importance of mobilizing idle gold assets to support economic growth, financial inclusion, and sustainable national development.
The seminar reaffirmed APMMI’s commitment to fostering collaboration between academia and industry by providing relevant, forward-looking perspectives on emerging business and financial trends. Through this initiative, participants were encouraged to broaden their understanding of financial innovation, regulatory developments, and strategic opportunities arising from the establishment of Bullion Bank services in Indonesia. The enthusiastic participation of more than 800 attendees reflects the growing interest of Indonesia’s academic community in advancing knowledge that supports the country’s evolving financial landscape while equipping future business leaders with the insights needed to navigate an increasingly dynamic global economy.
